One Lucky Day For Law Student, Baltimore Orioles’ Fan

Kevin Gracie didn’t know it, but he has two lucky numbers, 2,861 and 50,000,000.

Gracie, 24, is a student at the University of Baltimore Law School and a Baltimore Orioles fan.

And when he attended the Orioles’ home game on Aug. 19, he was the 2,861st fan to enter Camden Yards and the 50 millionth spectator to attend a game at the park since it opened in 1992.

The Orioles celebrated the occasion by awarding Gracie $50,000 and two season tickets for five years. Gracie was also introduced the crowd before the game.

Gracie can thank a friend for his good fortune.

“My buddy bought my ticket,” Gracie told The Associated Press. “I was going to switch tickets with him in line.”
