This year fedy has more than one reason to smile, the other being he tops the list among the worlds top tennis players at ATP again. Closing the year, Fedy proved more for Murry at the London ATP final. He is 5th time world champion. Losing his first set by 3-6, he came strong in the following sets by  6-3, 6-1. His serve and forhand dominated those of Murray and Fedy showed why he is just the number 1 in this business. On the other ground Nadal losses to Soderling on the day 2 of the tour. Talking about Fedys 5th time topping , only 2 other players could ever achieve it Pete Sampras and Jimmy Connors since the rankings started in 1973.

Tommy Robredo’s 6-1 6-4 lose to Nadal had speed up his chase to the Shanghai Masters series.  Nadal has been  in fine form after the injury and gaining all that he can before he meets the jinx.  The quarters will have Rafael face Ivan Ljubicic.  But the event is loosing its charm faster than the progress of Nadal as many players , withdrew due to injuries. The players who had to face injury are  abdominal pains and joins Juan Martin del Potro, Andy Roddick , Tommy Haas & also Roger fedrer who had to leave due to fatigue while Andy Murray withdrew due to wrist injury. The series still holds the players like Tsonga, Nadal ,Feliciano Lopez and many more ! The sports fans shall still get a fair excitement to watch out for ! Best part world be if Nadal could conquer the world title soon in the tournaments to come !

“I am playing well,” said the Spaniard. “But I played two terrible games at the start of the second set so I have to improve in situations like this if I want to beat the top players.” This surely indicates Nadal’s zeal and hunger to get back to the top stop soon. Every step he takes at Shanghai will make him more prepared for the key games coming ahead.

The popularity of Venus and Serena Williams has always been a mystery to me. I don’t like their styles of play, their styles of dress, their relationship with the media and public, their father or the fact that early in their careers they’d seemingly do just about anything not to have to play each other.

And I’m not the only one who thought it was odd when the Williams sisters returned from injuries or other breaks from the game that their respective bodies seemed to drastically change.

But through the years, I have softened a little on the sisters, and there’s one strong reason.

In recent years, when they’ve met in competition, they’re extraordinarily athletic and they entertain.

The most recent example occurred Sept. 4 in the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open in Flushing Meadows, N.Y., Serena beat her older sister to give her a 9-8 record against Venus in pro matches and a 6-5 in Grand Slam events. In all, Serena outscored Venus, 101-98.

The competition between the sisters and their evenly matched talents is unique. And I’ll give the Williams that. They’re sisters, they have to play each other and they’re now making the best of it.
